Design 1: Intro To Game Design, Animation, Graphic Design
Learn all aspects of Flash game design including: graphic design, animation and programming techniques. This class will give you the foundation for creating and programming interactive characters and backgrounds for games, animations and printed designs. You will be introduced to Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash.
Design 2: Intermediate Game Design, Animation, Graphic Design
Advance your skills in Flash, Illustrator and Photoshop. Learn how to create 3-D animations and visual effects using After Effects. Put it all together to create your own Flash game, animation or design portfolio.
Design Apprenticeship
Ages 14-19
Fall Apprenticeship: July 19th thru December 15th

Applications for Fall Apprenticeship is now closed.
Designers, animators and programmers will have the opportunity to work together to create a complete game using Flash, Illustrator and Photoshop. The students will also have the opportunity to work with the Audio Apprenticeship class to have custom music and sound effects created for their game. Students will decide what role they will play on the team. Students will also create a project for a local non-profit organization which may include a website, animation or interactive project. Students will also have the opportunity to create one personal project of their choice that may include: Motion Graphics Animation for Park City TV, Print Design: Stickers, posters or T-Shirts or Short Animation using Flash or After Effects. Young people of high school age are given the unique opportunity to:
- Receive valuable creative, technical, and vocational skills in media and technology.
- Develop critical learning, media literacy, and leadership skills
- Earn a modest weekly stipend (an important source of income for our participants).
