Spy Hop Records is an independent, youth-run music collective based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our purpose is to provide developing artists our unique sound, creative vision, and community platform for their music.

Are you inspired to create the next big wave in the music industry? Can your fresh ideas help an artist reach their full potential? Spy Hop Records is looking for interns between the ages of 15 and 19 who want to work and learn in a fun, creative environment.
Come work for one of the nations only youth-produced music labels right here in Salt Lake City. Over the course of a year, you will seek out new and exciting talent, produce their music in Spy Hop’s own recording studio, design the album cover and promotional materials, and learn the ropes as you create the next big buzz in the local scene. And, with some dedication, you will have the opportunity to become a paid Spy Hop Records Associate.
801 Sessions
The 801 SESSIONS is Spy Hop Records answer to “The Black Cab Sessions” or “Peel Sessions“. We choose a local musician or band to feature each month and we invite them to a location, either a local studio or landmark where we record and film them performing 3 – 4 original songs and an audio interview. After the session is finished, the crew does post production. Editing the video, compiling an interesting interview, and mixing the audio session. We post each session to spyhoprecords.com All of this is free each month to interested listeners. 801 SESSIONS format is designed this way for three reasons: to keep my students engaged with projects that require a quick turnaround, to promote as many various local youth musicians as we can, and to keep up with the ever-changing digital format of music.
