About this class:
Become an audio apprentice and learn the ins and outs of what it takes to make audio engineering or music production your career! With hands-on production projects and real-world studio experiences, your time as an apprentice will leave you with a professional portfolio and a clear path for next steps to make your passion your profession. Learn about microphones, speakers, and audio software as you record, mix and produce all the latest sounds. And, you’ll have the opportunity to earn a $200 stipend for your work.
Students are expected to complete all projects in order to earn a stipend.
What happens in this class:
- Hands on, in-person audio engineering experiences
- Managing Open Studio every Friday
- Mixing & Mastering workshops
- Live instrument workshops
Interview Session:
This class requires an Interview Session with the teaching mentor prior to being accepted into the class. The Interview Session is simply a way for the mentor and student to get to know each other and to assess interests, skill level, and set expectations for the program. Prospective students will be notified prior to the start of class of their acceptance into the program.
The teaching mentor for the Audio Apprenticeship will contact prospective students directlyto schedule interviews for the Summer 2023 apprenticeship.
