Historically, the term “woodshedding” was used by jazz musicians to describe time spent alone honing musical skills. In this program, you will focus on the songwriting process to create individual songs that utilize concepts like writing in key, arranging, creating melody, dynamics and lyric writing. Perform your completed songs for friends and family at a local coffee shop at the end of the workshop.
This class requires attending an Interview Session with the program mentor prior to the start of class. This is a great way for us to get to know you a little bit better. And, for you to learn more about the program you are applying for. The Interview Sessions are the perfect time for you to ask questions and to gain a better understanding of the expectations of the class. You will be notified of the Interview Session by the mentors via email and/or phone. If you have any questions, please contact Cathy at email@example.com or give us a call at 801-532-7500.
