Weather Closure Policy
Last updated July 2026
It is Spy Hop’s intention to be open and functioning normally throughout the winter, but weather conditions can vary greatly in different areas. We recognize that our students come from near and far to attend Spy Hop’s programs, each experiencing variable weather depending on locale.
During adverse conditions, we encourage parents/guardians to make attendance decisions for their teens based on their specific ability to get to Spy Hop safely. We trust parents/guardians to make the ultimate call when it comes to their student’s safety. Not all streets are plowed at the same time, and snow totals may differ depending on where someone is located. If you do not think it is safe to send or take your teens to Spy Hop after school during a weather incident, you have the option to keep them home.
If severe weather conditions force a facility closure or a switch to an emergency remote class day, Spy Hop will inform students and parents as early as possible before classes in the afternoon. Please look for notifications on our website, social media, via texts to parents/guardians or students, and/or via email.
If your contact information has recently changed, please call our office and provide us with your updated information. This will enable us to reliably notify you. You can contact our office at (801) 532-7500, Monday – Friday between the hours of 9am – 5pm.
