Be a Filmmaker for a Week!
Give yourself a head start on filmmaking and production skills through Spy Hop’s media production apprenticeship program coming to you. Every year, Spy Hop’s team of professional teaching artists pack up cameras, recording gear, and laptops where they lead immersive, week-long film workshops to students ages 13-19. We’ll teach you the fundamentals of filmmaking and storytelling, and help you craft a community spotlight highlighting something or someone in your local community. No experience necessary–just excitement and a willingness to learn.
Over the course of 1-week you will:
- Use professional filmmaking equipment provided by Spy Hop to make your short films
- Write your story, plan your shot list, schedule your interviews, and learn all the steps for pre-production
- Learn narrative and documentary filmmaking techniques
- Experiment with using music and sound to enhance your films
- Edit your film on Davinci Resolve Software
