Book a 60-minute interactive assembly for your grade level or the entire school! Assemblies introduce students to media arts concepts, tied to Utah Core Standards, in a fun and interactive experience. Students will explore media as a way to express their ideas and tell stories using film, music, or design. Students will also learn about career opportunities in the media arts, plus access to additional free programs at Spy Hop.

Our STEAM-based media arts workshops introduce smaller groups of students (typically a single class) to professional audio, design, animation, film production, and more! The goal for each student is to produce a completed piece of media by the end of the workshop. Spy Hop’s artist mentors will work closely with teachers throughout the workshop to produce unique experiences that are tailored to the curriculum and thematic needs of the class. These intensive workshops are offered for 5th grade and up.

We recommend 3—4 one-hour sessions to complete the workshop. Student work will be shared online, and students are given the opportunity to showcase and curate their projects.

Schedule an outreach day and invite Spy Hop artist mentors to visit your class or school! We'll share upcoming Spy Hop programs and events available for students to sign up for.

Tabling/outreach typically takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Spy Hop’s artist mentors present what it takes to work as a media artist and all the hats necessary to make it a reality! Artist mentors introduce small groups of students (typically a single class) to their personal journey in their art medium, plus lessons and advice on how to navigate the road many professional creatives face. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and dig into the experiences and expertise of our team. These presentations are offered for 8th grade and up.

Presentations are 20–30 minutes long, with 10–15 minutes of Q&A to wrap up the presentation.
