Capture the Moment: Visual Storytelling Through Film & Photography

In this immersive content creation track, students will step into the role of professional media makers, capturing the energy and stories of the Art of the Game Summit. Guided by professionals from Phase 2 Productions and SEG’s marketing and production teams, using industry-standard cameras and equipment, students will produce photo and video content designed to be shared with peers and the broader community.

Students will:

  • Practice shot composition, framing, and visual storytelling.
  • Shoot photo and video content throughout the summit.
  • Conduct on-camera interviews and capture candid moments with peers.

Students will learn:

  • The fundamentals of film and photography production.
  • How to tell authentic stories through visual media.
  • Best practices for working as a content creator in live event settings.
  • How media professionals collaborate under real-world deadlines.

This track gives students hands-on experience in media production while amplifying youth voices and creativity through film and photography.

Maya Hardie

I’m a filmmaker with a range of hands-on experience as a PA and AC all the way to Director and Cinematographer. My journey began at Spy Hop, where I learned from passionate film mentors who helped make a career in the film industry possible for me. In my role at Phase 2 Productions, I’m dedicated to giving that same support back to others. I care deeply about knowledge-sharing, and creating room for a wide range of stories and storytellers in the film industry.
