All ages welcome

Heatwave Festival is our annual music festival that celebrates Spy Hop’s year-long audio programs.

Over the past year each audio program, Musicology, Resonate and Loud & Clear Youth Radio, has worked hard to produce music, radio plays and perform live shows. The Musicology students have written, practiced and recorded an original album. Resonate have produced beats, performed around Salt Lake and released several albums. Loud & Clear Youth Radio has produced over 50 shows on KRCL 90.9 FM every Saturday night with radio plays and talking about the issues that matter to them.

Spy Hop’s Heatwave Festival showcases the next generation of musical, radio and music business professionals from Spy Hop’s Loud & Clear Audio programs.

The Loud & Clear Youth Radio DJ’s will emcee the night with music, radio plays and interviews. Closing the night is the Spy Hop Musicology band, Flat Moon Theory, performing their new album. Bring a picnic and join music and radio industry professionals, students, friends and families to celebrate their accomplishments over the year.

Spy Hop’s Loud & Clear Audio Programming is supported by: Salt Lake City Arts Council, Salt Lake County, Zoo, Arts & Parks, Salt Lake City Arts, Culture, and Events Fund, 90.9 FM KRCL, Adobe Project 1324, National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), The ELMA Music Foundation, SLUG Magazine, and Red Butte Garden.
