Rock Band 1

Music Collaboration Program

Have you imagined yourself being in a rock band? Do you enjoy collaborating with musicians and writing your own music? Rock Band 1 is an opportunity to get real world experience in creating and performing your own songs from writing lyrics to performing on stage.

In this introductory course, you will learn how to be in a band and learn to rock. We will focus on: collaboration with other musicians, lyric writing, performance, and creating original music within a group. The class will culminate in a live performance in front of an audience during the last class.

Rock Band is an intermediate-advanced level program that is offered two times per year: fall and winter/spring.

Access to Gear and Technology Matters

We believe that access to high-quality gear, technology, and equipment should not be a barrier to being an active participant in your community. Spy Hop provides professional gear and software for all participating students in classes at the Kahlert Youth Media Art Center. Professional gear is available to rent for FREE for students who may need to use gear and equipment outside of class time for assignments and special projects.

Please review Spy Hop’s Gear Check-Out Policies.
