About this class

PitchNic is Spy Hop’s year-long filmmaking program.

You and your crewmates will spend one year creating two fiction short films.

In this advanced course, you will be mentored through all stages of film production: pre-production, production, and post-production. You will be challenged to conceptualize stories, write treatments, create shot lists, pitch films, direct actors, light scenes, edit trailers, and so much more. At the end of this program, you and your crewmates will screen your films at a live, red-carpet film premiere and community Q&A.

Applications close October 27th.

Jonathan Nelson (he/him)

Film Mentor

Hi, my name is Jonathan Nelson. I’m a film mentor at Spy Hop and I specialize in Cinematography. I’ve worked in the film industry full time for the past 7 years, playing almost every role on set in various productions. Everything from Documentary, Commercial, Narrative, and Broadcast, I’ve got exposure in.

Most recently, I am in post production for a horror feature film where I was the Director of Photography and a Producer. This film should be hitting festivals later this year.
