Episode 4: I Should Have Stayed Off Snapchat

What happens when high-risk youth begin using technology for criminal activities? Youth from a Secure Care Juvenile facility in Salt Lake City discussed social media, access to anonymous platforms, and how it accelerated their criminal behaviors to disastrous ends.

Has increased access led to young people getting into trouble faster? Is it easier for things to get serious before you even know what is really happening? Hear the experiences of these youth and decide for yourself. The three students featured here are part of the Sending Messages program, a podcasting workshop that has been helping incarcerated youth in Salt Lake City share their stories with the world for over a dozen years.
