Music Promotion Apprenticeship: Spring

I’m Allyson Katana, the Musical Arts Mentor at Spy Hop. I teach Original Songwriting, Rockband, Music Promotion, and Musicology.

I’ve worked on all sides of the music industry, from selling records at Graywhale and music gear at Guitar Center, to booking/promoting concerts and events at venues like Kilby Court, the Beehive, Diabolical Records, and more! I’ve been writing, recording, and making music for the last fifteen years (both solo and with my friends) and have been a touring musician on and off for the last five years. I play bass, guitar, piano, sing, and am currently working on improving my skills with the drums and cello.

As a former Spy Hop Alumni, I’m excited to be teaching all the classes that changed my life over ten years ago! If you see me in the hallways, please say hi—I love chatting, meeting new people, and getting new music recommendations.
