Become an Audio Apprentice and learn what it takes to have a career in music production and audio engineering! With hands-on production projects and real-world studio experiences guided by professional teaching artists, your time as an apprentice will leave you with a professional portfolio and a clear path for next steps to make your passion your profession. Learn about advanced concepts like signal flow, microphones, studio and live sound recording, music production, mixing, mastering and more! Record local bands in the studio, help run the studio every Friday and complete other client audio projects to earn a $200 stipend. Students are expected to complete all projects in order to earn a stipend.

Interview session:
This class requires an Interview Session with the teaching mentor prior to being accepted into the class. The Interview Session is simply a way for the mentor and student to get to know each other and to assess interests, skill level, and set expectations for the program. Prospective students will be notified prior to the start of class of their acceptance into the program. The teaching mentor for the Audio Apprenticeship will contact prospective students directly 2 – 3 weeks before class begins, to schedule interviews for the Spring 2024 Audio Apprenticeships.
